Affirmations' Spring Bash 2013 Set


Spring Bash, Affirmations Community Center's premier event of the year, is coming April 13 and will once again help raise significant funding to support vital programming and services. The 14th annual event is guaranteed to be the most talked about evening among the more active and influential members of the metro Detroit LGBT and ally community. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, 1114 Washington Ave. in Detroit. With this year's theme "Mission Possible," Affirmations will highlight its plans for 2013 and unveil its newest additions to a growing portfolio of programs and services. Schauer Says LGBTs Valued, Needed In His Administration

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer and running mate Lisa Brown sat down with BTL publishers Jan Stevenson and Susan Horowitz prior to the Michigan Democratic Convention for a wide-ranging conversation about their campaign, what a SchauerBrown administration would be like for the LGBT community and who would be included.
