KGLRC Faith Alliance Committee To Host Third Annual Prayer Breakfast


KALAMAZOO - The Faith Alliance Committee of the Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center invites people of all faiths to join them for the third annual Faith Alliance Prayer Breakfast at the First United Methodist Church, Feb. 5.

The continental breakfast will include music, local public policy and practice discussion and a prayer session. Newly elected Kalamazoo County Commissioner Julie Rogers will be the events' keynote speaker.

Study Finds Significant Racial Disparities For HIV Infection Among Black And White MSM

A study published in the journal The Lancet HIV reports that there is a significant disparity in HIV prevalence between black and white men who have sex with men. The study was published on Nov. 18 and found a startling 32 percent prevalence rate for black men who have sex with men, compared with only eight percent for white men who have sex with men.
